Global College Malta Academic Manager (2023 - 2025)

Supporting An Education College To Bring Compassion To Education

In March 2023 I started working with Global College Malta, moving from a lecturer to a position in the academic team. My role was to bring the different functions of the college to work together towards supporting students.

Hence the term Student Success Manager was coined. Given that students link the management, finances, marketing, operations and education of a college, the role would aim to bring people closer to each other.

Work that fell under my remit was to:

• Managed 5 team members who handled 700+ students..

• Was team leader managing transition and processes to transition from 150 Maltese students to 700+ international students.

• Created student support services to help students academically and personally as well as formed the student council for the college.

• Went through developing student experience processes to align with MFHEA.

• Developing curricula for programs and researching different pedagogies to implement.

• Organising a graduation ceremony for over 100 students and 300 guests.

• Working to implement digital technology like Moodle, Biometric systems to improve the processes of the organisation.

• Supported the Academic Dean and Management with going through MFHEA Audit Review process.

• Underwent training by MFHEA on implementing the new standards.
